The minor arcana are a compilation of images from 12 countries in 4 different continents. They are all shot analogue, many of them on medium format film (120mm), and most of them are double exposures.
The countries from which they are collected are: Austria, Germany, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria, Turkey, Jordan, Israel, Egypt, Morocco, India and Cuba.
The minor arcana are categorized in 4 categories:
The four elements air, water, fire and earth.
The air element is giving advice on matters of the mind, thinking, ideas, and intellect.
The water element gives advice on emotions and emotional states.
The fire element is giving advice on passions, activity and creativity.
The earth element is advising structure, stability and material aspects.
The suit of air is the suit of swords in a traditional tarot card deck. It stands for the element air and is connected to matters around mind, thought, knowledge, intelligence, intellectual thinking and reasoning, as well as observing our thoughts.
The suit of water is the suit of cups in a traditional tarot card deck. It stands for the element water and is connected to matters around emotions, feelings, depth and the flow of life. The element of water is the passive and flowing element, very dreamy and goes deep into feeling what‘s there.
The suit of fire is the suit of wands in a traditional tarot card deck. It stands for the element fire and is connected to matters around being active, passion, talent, a general burning life force inside of us and creation. It talks about the heart taking action and a drive to do all kinds of activities in life.
The suit of earth is the suit of coins or pentacles in a traditional tarot card deck. It stands for the element earth and is connected to matters around stability, values, groundedness, richness, abundance, and sense of self-worth. It talks about the foundational aspects of life that all others are being built on.
